Lic. Emiliano Gentile.
Developed Material: gelatin bioplastic.
Application:There are infinite application possibilities for this type of bioplastics. By example, and with the aim of taking advantage of the properties of the material in terms of  its behavior in relation to light sources, it was decided to design a series of interchangeable lenses to be used in conjunction with the cell phone. The objective of this design, is to obtain different effects and results in the photographs, from the variation in thickness, color and textures of the bioplastic sheet.

Gelatin Bioplastic
Interchangeable bioplastic lenses to be used in conjunction with the cell phone,
The product is composed of a two-part casing made of 3D printing (1), where the bioplastic sheet (2) is placed under tension. The case fits into a support made using the same technology (3), which is placed over the cell phone camera (4). In this way, it is possible to exchange different lenses according to the desired effect.
Resulting images from the application of varied sectors of the bioplastic on the cell phone camera. The images do not have any type of digital retouching. Color effect and different degrees of sharpness are the result of the material´s properties.
